Melbourne, Australia-Based Worship Band Nominated for Two Dove Awards

Dove Award nominated Planetshakers Band recently released their new album, Overflow, to the worldwide market through Integrity Music. The project was recorded at Planetshakers’ annual spring conference in Melbourne, Australia, and features 15 new songs that were co-written by the band and produced by worship leader Joth Hunt. Planetshakers also released a deluxe edition of the project that includes seven music videos from songs on the album, including a live version of the radio single “I Know Who You Are,” which is already receiving airplay in the U.S. The music video for the single may be viewed at

“Overflow captures a week of ‘God-moments’ that were recorded live from the 2016 Planetshakers Conference,” explains Planetshakers Church Senior Pastor Russell Evans. “It was an incredible experience. On the one hand, there may have been 15,000 registered attendees singing praise anthems such as ‘River’ and ‘Come Right Now’… then on the other hand, there were such intimate worship moments that it felt like it was just you and Jesus in the room. Our prayer is that this collection of songs blesses and uplifts your spirit and puts the focus heavenwards.”

Inspired by Ephesians 3:20, the songs of Overflow draw from the promise, “Now to Him who is able to do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think, according to His power that is at work within us.”

“Overflow is the prophetic declaration of what God is doing in and through Planetshakers in this season,” adds Sam Evans, who co-pastors Planetshakers Church with her husband Russell, and also serves as worship pastor. “As a church, our declaration of ‘Overflow’ has released faith amongst our Planetshakers family for a season of abundance in every area of their lives. We have seen miraculous turn arounds in people’s physical health, supernatural favor released and countless prayers answered in this time. And God continues to pour out His goodness as we declare His word through these songs.”

“We believe that the songs that you hear on Overflow reflect what God wants to do in His church and in the lives of believers around the world,” she continues. “We pray that every time these songs are heard or sung, that people would experience an Acts 1:8 moment. ‘You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you”… and that this encounter with our Heavenly Father would transform lives and release His glory around the globe.”

Planetshakers Band have be sharing these new songs and others while touring in Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, Malaysia and the U.S., including a visit to the new Planetshakers Austin Church campus in Texas.

In addition to serving and resourcing churches around the globe, Planetshakers Band has also been making an impact within the U.S. Christian music industry with four Dove Award nominations over the past three years. These include nominations this year in the “Long Form Music Video” category for their previous project #LetsGo and the “Urban Worship Song” category for “The Anthem” as performed by Todd Dulaney.
