ABOUT Marc
UK artist Marc James grew up immersed in a rich array of music, with The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, and classical guitar vinyl records echoing around his home. His passion for rock was ignited by an Iron Maiden album, just as Eric Clapton's live performance at the Royal Albert Hall formed his love for blues and legendary guitarists.
Marc's early years were marked by a journey of musical discovery and joining various bands that ranged from heavy rock to stripped-back acoustic. A car crash at 16 years old became a pivotal moment, leading him to make a deal with God. This brush with mortality sparked a deep spiritual search, culminating in his revelation of Jesus. Going forward, he was a part of the teachings and worship at Vineyard, Soul Survivor, and ELIM churches, where Marc found the transformational power of the Holy Spirit.
Marc views music as a profound communicator, crafting his worship with honesty and authenticity. He appreciates the richness that different styles and sounds bring when they come together, which transpires in the projects he is a part of. He is also a member of the touring alt-rock band Vera Cruz.
