Abide

Aaron Williams presents a brand-new version of his CCLI Top 100-charting song, "Abide," featuring Jon Reddick. The song, which unpacks the beauty of the words of Jesus found in John 15, has been echoing with thousands of people since its initial release. "Abide" voices an honest anthem of surrender at a time when society looks down on dependence, inviting listeners to remain in the Lord. In writing this song, Williams portrayed abiding with the Lord as a "long obedience in the same direction” rather than a religious routine. This new version of "Abide" serves as a heartfelt prayer for those seeking to deepen their relationship with God and experience his presence more fully. Williams hopes that this song will encourage each listener to cling to the Lord, believing that all who do will witness the unwavering faithfulness of God in every season.

Unfailing Love

FAITHFUL releases “Night Vision: Psalms of Rest,” the second part of a two-album project which was preceded by the release of “Daybreak: Psalms of Action.” The new album is the fruit of various influential women who are artists, songwriters, and authors coming together around the theme of rest, exploring what the Psalter has to reveal about this idea.

Though rest often conjures imagery of the nighttime and sleep, it also refers to a state of inaction where those who love God can dwell knowing that they will be cherished, protected, heard, guided, at peace, nourished, and safe. Speaking of the album and its title track, Sarah Macintosh shares, “People often [only] attribute light and daytime to God, but these Psalms remind us that there is no space or time that is outside of God.”

“Night Vision” features Ellie Holcomb, Taylor Leonhardt, Jillian Edwards, Savannah Locke, Sara Groves, Tamar Chipp, Sarah Kroger, Sandra McCracken, JJ Heller, Janice Gaines, Jess Ray, Leslie Jordan, Ginny Owens, Sarah Macintosh, Rachael Lampa, Ruth Chou Simons, Trilla Newbell, Ann Voskamp, Patsy Clairmont, Amanda Bible Williams, Lina Abujamra, and Amanda Pittman.

Written, produced, and performed by women who are deep wells of creativity and experience, the sonic essence of “Night Vision” is organic, expansive, and ethereal. From the album opener’s pop ballad feel, to folky Americana tracks such as “He IsLove,” the 11-song project showcases both intimate melodies as well as harmonious gang vocals.

FAITHFUL’s hope is that this new collection of songs will serve people by helping to shift the way that they see the nighttime moments in life.

All In Your Hands

Anchor Hymns releases “All In Your Hands,” the second single from their upcoming project recorded live in the mundane-meets-divine settings of Black Abbey, a Nashville brewery. The new song has a raw edge and folky feel that make it easy for listeners to step into worship and lay their burdens as they sing of the Lord’s control. From creation to incarnation, the song reminds us of the supremacy and intimacy of Christ. Written by Leslie Jordan, Antoine Bradford, and Ricky Vazquez, “All In Your Hands,” is sung by the latter alongside Melanie Penn.
