On Friday, November 8, 2024, Unified Sound was honored with two prestigious awards at the XIX Premios Arpa in Mexico City. The Miami-based band was awarded the Canción en Participación (Song in Collaboration) for “Alaba” with Elevation Worship, and Álbum del Año (Album of the Year) for “Cantaremos.”

Unified Sound—who is led by Joel López—is a collective of exceptional musicians who have worked with prominent Latin artists like Marc Anthony, Thalia, Jennifer Lopez, and Emilio Estefan. They also serve as worship leaders and musicians across the United States. Their unique fusion of salsa-infused worship, enhanced with vibrant percussion and brass, creates a fresh and captivating sound that deeply resonates within the Latin American church.

Their 2023 album, “Cantaremos,” has been embraced by countless churches throughout Latin America, inspiring joyful and passionate worship. The album was followed by an exciting collaboration with Elevation Worship Español on the song “Alaba,” which also received a Dove Award nomination.

Additionally, Unified Sound delivered an electrifying performance at the XIX Premios Arpa, sharing the stage with Ingrid Rosario, Edwin Lebron, and Elevation Worship Español.
