NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: Philippa Hanna, Thrive Worship & YADA Worship

NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY

Philippa Hanna releases her awaited acoustic EP 'Live From The Old Chapel', the first release since her debut worship album in 2020. After the pandemic and becoming a mother, the UK singer-songwriter is gearing up to a new season of music starting by revisiting some of her most significant worship songs to date. Philippa Hanna's new project was recorded live at The Old Chapel Studios in England and features an eclectic musical backdrop of grand piano, double bass, mandolin, acoustic guitar, hammered dulcimer, and ambient drums which carry the singer’s voice beautifully. "I’m really enjoying exploring the way instrumentation can elevate our expressions of worship," Philippa says. The heart of 'Live From The Old Chapel' is a celebration of music; one of God's greatest gifts to us. "Taking these songs to a different space creatively has been my way of giving thanks for them," she concludes. Philippa Hanna keeps proving that she crafts songs that ooze with honesty, authenticity, and vocals that are as powerful as they are heartfelt.

Thrive Worship release a new live version of 'Oh Come All Ye Faithful' for the holiday season. This reimagined rendition is focused on the local church, for Her to carry this beautiful song throughout the season. The upbeat take on the classic Christmas Carol combined with the powerful vocals of leader Corbin Phillips bring listeners to a place of joy and triumph. Thrive Worship's version of 'Oh Come All Ye Faithful' finishes with a medley of 'Little Drummer Boy', highlighting the festive thread that runs through the new single. The Sacramento-based worship group hope that their take on 'Oh Come All Ye Faithful' brings out something new and refreshing by the power of the Holy Spirit.

German band YADA Worship release their first ever live album titled 'Mein Zeugnis', translating to "My Testimony". With seven new songs recorded in a house of worship and prayer in Northern Germany, YADA Worship hope to inspire fresh language and opportunities for encounter with the Lord for the German-speaking Church.
