NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: LOCAL SOUND, VINEYARD WORSHIP & SANDRA McCRACKEN

‘To The King’ came together as an expression of the heart of Local Sound’s home church movement, MyLocal. Sitting together in each other’s houses week by week, studying scripture and sharing life together, sparked inspiration to write worshipful responses to God’s faithfulness from everyone’s stories. Local Sound’s music is saturated with the nearness of their community, instilling a sense of belonging into the family of God through each song. ‘To The King’ features intimate prayers that have had the time to be nurtured into songs over the turbulence of the last two years. Each song has a different feel and a unique response as a representation of the countless ways that Local Sound see God in their lives as a band and as a church.

Recorded live at Anchour Studio in Maine, ‘Breathe In, Sing Out: Live From Anchour Studio’ is the new project from Vineyard Worship. The collaboration on this new project carries on the legendary partnership between Vineyard Worship and Anchour Studio. This new EP highlights the harmonious and familiar voices of Vineyard worship pastors, Kyle Howard (“Sons and Daughters”), Alexandria Faison (Vineyard Soul), Anabeth Morgan (“You Meet Me Here”), Tim Brown (“What Can Separate”), Tiadra Mickels (Vineyard Soul & Vineyard LoFi) and Sarah Pemberton (“Never Run Dry”). ‘Breathe In, Sing Out’ balances powerful and intimate music as it captures real-time worship moments, capturing the beauty of fellowship with one another and with the Lord.

Sandra McCracken is gearing up to release new music with first new single ‘I Will Sing’. Written with singer-songwriter Leslie Jordan, this song is based on the poetry of Psalm 89. ‘I Will Sing’ went through many revisions as the artists were crafting it, reflecting the pattern of the refrain of God’s goodness which is not always distinct or obvious at first, but becomes clearer as one keeps singing about it. Recorded live in Laity Lodge, ‘I Will Sing’ is full of Sandra’s signature warm Americana and unmistakable vocals, and is adorned with a double bass and stripped back drums as well as the resonance of a grand piano infusing jazz tones into the tune. Through and through, Sandra McCracken reveals that she is a musician by craft, trade, and gifting, but ultimately, she is a storyteller at heart.
