CELEBRATING 3 YEARS OF "WAY MAKER"

Written by Cara Cunningham | Integrity Music

If you've stepped foot in a Christian church or turned on K-LOVE in the past 3 years, odds are you've heard a song by the name of Way Maker. It’s likely this performance led you to sing along; it may have even brought tears to your eyes.

“Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness… my God, that is who You are.”

A declaration of hope that has stirred the hearts of both Christians and non-Christians across the globe since its timely arrival—just before COVID-19 changed the world.

While these lyrics were originally birthed in Nigeria by Integrity Music songwriter, Sinach, the song became a contagion across nations when artists like Michael W. Smith, Leeland, Bethel, REVERE, and so many others shared their own versions of the song.

To say this song has since made an impact on the Christian-Worship genre, would be an understatement. Sinach’s Way Maker instantly became a timeless worship classic, ranking in the likes of those such as, “Oceans”, “How He Loves”, “10,000 Reasons” and many others. This is evident not only through its vast numbers across the board, but through thousands of personal testimonies shared…

This is my husband‘s testimonial song. After three months on life-support and at deaths door and not expected to live. My Jesus made a way for my husband to survive. My God that is who he is!!!!!!!!
When I converted to Christianity, my dad disowned me. But my God, the Way Maker, worked a miracle to re-unite me with my dad before his passing. Now as a gospel singer, I sing to touch souls and draw hearts closer to God. God indeed is a Way Maker.
I’m battling cancer but I still and will always believe that my God never stops working! My God the way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper and a light in the darkness.  I will always believe!
From a college dropout, into prison, into depression, into desperation. Now a college graduate. First class honours at that. It is going slowly but it is working, Way maker is alive and He is a light 💡 to my path. If you’re reading this, we made it this far after 2020. ❤️

Let’s continue to fill the church with songs of substance and help lead people to a place where they can experience the presence of God. Here are some resources to continue our mission:
