NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: Sarah Kroger, LIFE Worship & Dreaming the Impossible
The Gardener
Sarah Kroger introduces “The Gardener,” the third deluxe single and bonus track from her recent album “A New Reality.” The new release comes out of John 15 and is a sung prayer for pruning and for growth. Yet, its gentle melody and Kroger’s ethereal vocals underline a sense of fearlessness permeating the process. “The Gardener” reminds listeners that God’s fundamental goodness makes pruning a source of joy and relief, but not of harm. Heartfelt and intimate, the new song moves through its scriptural inspiration and weaves in Galatians 5, the well-known passage on the fruit of the Spirit. “The Gardener” shines with the hope that good fruit shall grow out of remaining in Christ and letting God cultivate our lives.
Wait On The Lord
LIFE Worship presents their second single, “Wait On The Lord.” Starting as a ballad, the song builds into an anthemic declaration saturated with faith. The new single has a Psalm-like feel whilst being inspired by Isaiah 40 and the promises it holds for those who place their trust in God. Featuring subtle choirs and an underlaying rhythm, “Wait On The Lord” builds expectancy in listeners and draws worshippers in. Whether good or bad is to come, LIFE Worship declares the unwavering nature of God’s character and lordship. The Bradford, UK-based worship team keeps revealing the fresh move of God happening in their midst with songs like “Wait On The Lord” and their recent introductory single “None Like Jehovah.”
Stand Firm
Dreaming The Impossible (DTI) – Vineyard UK & Ireland’s youth movement – releases “Stand Firm.” Recorded live at their yearly festival, the new song has an anthemic feel and declares truth that they wanted to leave young people with for when they are back at home. With this song, they remind us that the highs and lows of life do not change God’s call to a journey of standing firm.
Songwriters Jon Solway and Beth Goodwright said, “We love the bridge that names real things that we might experience in our walk with Jesus but provides the reassurance that God will see us through everything.”
“Stand Firm” is a response, a choice to not be shaken by the world but to remain steadfast in the Lord.
