NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: Mission House, Thrive Worship, Village Lights, Shout Praises Kids & Europe highlights

Friend Forever

Folk worship duo Mission House release their fourth project, “Friend Forever,” an acoustic-led EP recorded in the intimate settings of a friend’s home. Inspired by a need in their community for worship in life’s everyday still moments, this project offers prayerful and gentle sounds that meet believers in their most simple daily moments. “Friend Forever” includes revisited versions of some of the band’s most loved songs as well as a cover of “What A Friend I’ve Found” originally by British band Delirious? on a beautiful acoustic soundscape. This EP explores the consistent, sincere, and profound friendship of Christ that spans every day of our life of faith and will be present beyond into eternity. Mission House set out to create a space of quiet reflection amid a busy, overstimulating world for the Church to commune with God, walking with Him in the daily mundane beauty of our existence.

O Come To The Altar/ Ven Ante Su Trono

A well-known Elevation Worship song, “O Come to the Altar” resonated closely with Village Lights who began integrating it in their times of ministry. As a multicultural band, Village Lights has been embracing a bilingual interpretation of this song, titled “Ven Ante Su Trono” in Spanish, with worship leader Ricky Vazquez singing it on multiple occasions.

“I have seen so much fruit in being able to worship in both of my native tongues and
serve the Latino community in the US in this way,” he shares.

Growing up in the US as Puerto Rican, Ricky explains having “felt in between two worlds and not fully belonging to either one.” This song became a healing experience and a staple in Village Lights’s setlist, who are excited to finally capture their own version. With this new release, recorded live, the collective hope to bring more unity to the Church as well as to represent the multi-faceted Kingdom of God, where every tribe, nation, and tongue gathers around the altar to worship the Lord.

Pour Your Spirit Out (Deluxe EP)

After the powerful release of “Pour Your Spirit Out” in May 2022, Thrive Worship are back to amplify this project with four new masters of the title track. With new acoustic, gospel, congregational, and remix/lo-fi versions, including one with CCM artist Ben Fuller, Thrive Worship desire to serve the Church first and foremost with this significant song. After being on this year’s Winter Jam Tour, Thrive Worship are more set on reminding us of this faith-filled prayer for God to move and pour out His Spirit than ever. This deluxe version also features the song story and worship leader Corbin Phillips’s testimony behind the defining track.
