NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: REVERE, Leslie Jordan, Unified Sound, ICF Worship & Vineyard Worship
Contemplad Al Rey De Gloria
“Contemplad Al Rey De Gloria” is the last single from the trio of multilingual releases of REVERE’s song “Behold (King of Glory).” After the recent release of an English and a Portuguese version, this single was captured live at the latest REVERE recording in the Fall of 2022. Back in 2021, “Contemplad Al Rey De Gloria” was one of the first fruits of the now global movement of worship, which these international versions highlight. The new single is reintroduced as a full-band version featuring worship leaders Joseph Espinoza and Becky Collazos. The unified pursuit of God in this song creates an inviting call to an encounter with the Holy One, making space to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and express His greatness. “Contemplad Al Rey De Gloria” carries REVERE’s core desire to inspire the Church to embrace her purpose of wholehearted, selfless, and boundary-breaking worship again.
A Thousand Shores
Leslie Jordan unveils “A Thousand Shores,” the second single from an upcoming project of revisited songs of hers previously released by artist friends. Written alongside Zach Bolen and Jack Mooring, “A Thousand Shores” was introduced on Citizens’s latest album. Taking inspiration from the Passion translation of Psalm 139, which sparked conversations around the generous overwhelming love of God, they weaved in the chorus previously composed by Leslie. The latter explores the intimate omnipresence of God – of his love – and offers a worshipful response to this reality. “As the world and our country becomes more and more polarized, God is still pulling us all toward him,” Leslie shares, “He is in all things; my breath, my thoughts, my heartbeat, my songs.” “A Thousand Shores” lays down universal truths, “that God knows us from beginning to end and that his love is forever,” Leslie adds. After Citizens’s energetic version, this new single creates a more meditative space by its acoustic nature, highlighting its versatility and broad pertinence. Leslie concludes, “I am honored to release this version in hopes that even more folks are able to identify with its message."
Again I Say Rejoice
Miami-based Latin band Unified Sound releases their second single featuring Jordan Houghton, “Again I Say Rejoice,” from their upcoming first ever live album. With matched energy and rhythm from their recent first single, this new song is a powerful declaration of joy and praise. The song is rooted in Philippians 4:4, imparting the notion that joy is not just an occasional occurrence but a continuous choice in our relationship with God. The melody, lyrics, and upbeat tempo – a fusion salsa, pop, and gospel – work harmoniously to embody joy and encourage believers to anchor their hearts in the unchanging nature of God's character. With “Again I Say Rejoice,” Unified Sound delivers their passion to invite the Church into the joyful essence of worship.
Treuer Gott (Für Immer)
ICF Worship releases a new version of their recent German EP’s title track, “Treuer Gott (Für Immer),” with the Munich, Germany-based hip hop duo O’Bros. Meaning “Faithful God (Forever),” the song is a celebration of the Giver of Life, encouraging the Church to rejoice in God’s unconditional love. The new version – featuring beats, electronic accents, and a new rap section added – brings fresh energy to the track, as band leader Dave Kull expresses, “It is an invitation to dance away our worries and look to the Lord; the eternal and faithful God.” Alongside many projects in English, ICF Worship also invests in the German-speaking parts of the Church in and around Switzerland. “Treuer Gott (Für Immer)” carries their international voice and contagious dynamic worship.
King of Heaven
Vineyard Worship’s new single, featuring Tim Brown and Anabeth Morgan, "King of Heaven," is an upbeat call to worship that will stir souls. With its infectious energy and lively rhythm, this track seeks to usher the Church into a powerful worship experience. "King of Heaven" is an invitation to join in a collective expression of worship and demonstrates the growing joy and anticipation for Jesus' return. Vineyard Worship seeks to bring purpose, peace, and excitement in the waiting.
