NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: Mission House, Worship For Everyone & Village Lights

Sing With All Your Heart

Mission House announces a brand-new live album releasing later this year with first single “Sing With All Your Heart.” The introductory song is marked by joy and a communal feel, calling the people of God to rejoice in our belonging to Jesus and offer that same belonging to our neighbors. Writing the new single alongside Matt Maher and Jacob Sooter, Mission House was inspired by Paul’s words on rejoicing in Philippians 4, as well as Jesus’ own prayer in John 17 for his disciples to be one. Mission House exhorts their listeners with the call to reach out to one another, carry each other’s burdens, and to be unashamed and unafraid of the needs we all have.

“In this age of polarization and disconnection, we need more than ever to find roads back to one other,” Taylor Leonhardt of Mission House concludes.

“Sing With All Your Heart” is the kind of song that moves past the good idea of community and inspires real, loving connection and belonging in the world.

God is Good (Live)

All-age worship ministry Worship For Everyone (Nick and Becky Drake) unveils a brand- new version of their song “God is Good” recorded live at Wildfires Festival in the UK. A song of declaration, the new release tells the story of God’s unchanging goodness despite what we may carry when approaching worship.

“God’s people throughout the Bible sang in times of trouble to remind themselves of this truth. As we’ve led it in many settings it never fails to lift our eyes and release joy,” says Becky Drake.

This song is a strengthening and anchoring, particularly in times of anxiety for children and adults alike. Its simplicity is powerful and has seen it become an anthem in the Drakes’ home church, as well as in various contexts such as conferences and festivals, as this version highlights. Worship For Everyone also offer actions to help engage younger worshippers in the hope that their music can be accessible and inviting to all of God’s people.

Christ our King (Live)

Village Lights’ debut album “Kingdom” was inspired by the liturgical feast of “Christ The King”. Pope Francis once said:

“Jesus is the center of creation; and so, the attitude demanded of us as true believers is that of recognizing and accepting in our lives the centrality of Jesus Christ, in our thoughts, in our words and in our works.”

This quote inspired the initial idea for their song “Christ Our King,” which they now re-release as a live version recorded with their community. This song is one that seeks to re-establish Christ as our personal King. Village Lights encourage listeners to recognize what that means: a claim to the Lord and His teachings as the center of our lives. “Christ Our King” is a worshipful song about the centrality of Jesus and the inevitable impact that flows from this reality
