NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: Village Lights, Mission House & Worship For Everyone

Kingdom (Deluxe)

Multi-ethnic worship collective Village Lights releases a deluxe version of their debut album “Kingdom.” The new collection includes live tracks recorded in community, which truly encapsulate Village Lights’ passion for togetherness. Comprised of Sarah Kroger, Ricky Vazquez, and Ike Ndolo, the band was inspired by the traditional liturgical feast of “Christ the King of the Universe” which was historically implemented in the church at a time of rising tide of nationalism around the world. The feast was a way to reunite God’s people around the idea that our allegiances lie with Christ our King; and in reflection Village Lights gathered a group to worship communally and give these songs a fresh sound.

As We Wait

Worship For Everyone releases their second live single recorded at UK festival Wildfires. “As We Wait” was inspired by Proverbs 2 and its call to wisdom and understanding. The song came from their desire to create a space in worship to wait on the Lord, seek him, and align hearts and minds to his wisdom and ways. As always in Worship For Everyone’s mission, this song seeks to unite both adults and children together in worship. A simple actions video comes alongside the single release to facilitate this. With “As We Wait,” the family worship movement hopes to serve the Church in creating an environment of seeking the Lord and worshipping Him at all ages and stages of life.

Jesus, My Brother + Like Jesus

Mission House releases a dual single titled “Jesus, My Brother” and “Like Jesus.” The worship duo describes the process of writing these songs as “accidental,” having stumbled upon them on separate occasions at the end of co-writes or sound checks. The organic conception of these songs can be heard in their essence, which depart slightly from Mission House’s signature sound.

“We weren’t really trying to achieve anything, just singing what felt right,” says Taylor Leonhardt. “There was an element of fun present in the writing of both of these songs.”

The new release tells a simple story, inviting listeners to participate in a joyful experience of the love of Jesus.

“We don’t have to be straight faced saints all the time,” Taylor continues.

“Jesus, My Brother” and “Like Jesus” express Mission House’s lightheartedness and their passion to bring people together in the presence of the Lord.
