NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: FAITHFUL, Unified Sound, Worship For Everyone & Mission House
Great Things (NEW EP!)
All-female creative community FAITHFUL releases “Great Things.” The new EP is a foretaste of their upcoming album, releasing in early 2024, which brings the Psalms – specifically Psalms of action – to life. As musicians, artists, and authors, FAITHFUL explores the imagery of womanhood throughout these poetic scriptures. Inspired by Fanny Crosby’s wonderful hymn, “To God Be The Glory,” the title of this EP comes from the song’s final line which praises God for all that he has done. In fact, FAITHFUL were so moved by it that they included the hymn in their new project, which is the only non-Psalm song on there. They updated some of the language and added a new chorus, giving modern worshippers a moment of response to such a beautiful and rich old lyric. “To God Be The Glory” is still the most-sung traditional song written by a woman in the Church today, a call that the female collective embraces in their creative pursuit. With “Great Things,” FAITHFUL reflects on the beauty of God’s kindness and faithfulness in the lives of women throughout generations.
Creemos Que Lo Harás (We Believe)
Unified Sound releases their new single, "Creemos Que Lo Harás," featuring Puerto Rican artist Ingrid Rosario. The new song is a Spanish version of CeCe Winans’s award-winning song “We Believe,” carrying a message of faith and trust in God.
"Our inspiration stemmed from the desire to infuse this profound message of hope and motivation into a vibrant Latin rhythm,” the band shares. As they put it, "our aspiration is for the church to catch a glimpse of this heavenly sound," inviting everyone to embrace the melody and unite in worship.
The single aims to remind believers that, even in challenging times, God's promises remain unwavering and dependable. Unified Sound passionately believes in the importance of expanding the worship experience to reach people of all backgrounds. The band echoes the sentiment that "Creemos Que Lo Harás" embodies the spirit of Psalm 98's exhortation to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord,” worshipping God for the enduring power of His faithfulness.
Live From Wildfires
Founded by Nick and Becky Drake, UK family worship ministry Worship For Everyone releases their latest EP "Live From Wildfires.” Capturing the essence of intergenerational worship, this new project features children, parents, grandparents, students, and teenagers united in praise.
“Worship for Everyone is best when it’s experienced,” said Becky, “We want the Church to recognise the power and importance of unity across the ages.”
With WFE’s signature fresh pop sound, these tracks invite everyone to participate and sing along, including "As We Wait," a song born from a deep spiritual reflection.
“We hope the songs and accompanying videos will model the joy that all of God’s people can experience when they place value on all age worship,” Becky concluded.
"Live From Wildfires" is an invitation to experience the joy of worshiping together across the generations.
If I Was A Bird + Abide
“If I Was A Bird + Abide” was recorded live with Mission House alongside friends. The new dual single embodies surrender and dependence on God as Taylor Leonhardt notes,
“A lot of our songs are about returning to God and counting on Him.”
“Abide,” which is led by Aaron Williams shares this message particularly profoundly, inviting listeners out of the myth of independence into realizing that everything we have comes from the Father. Flowing from the first part of the recording, “If I Was A Bird” is a beautiful musical prayer. The song, led by Dee Wilson, is adorned with warm acoustic tones and a genuineness that testifies to Mission House’s skill to write songs that resonate deeply with people’s experience of life and faith.
