Citizens’ music brings people together around vulnerability and acceptance, and their new acoustic single, “everything and more,” is an invitation into the journey of faith the band candidly explore through songs. This version is close to the song’s conception as it came from a simple moment at the piano. This song is the tip of the iceberg of Citizens’ journey of unlearning and reimagining the scope in which we view God. They inspire us to reconsider our perception of the Divine and find joy in the impossible and the mystery. “everything and more (acoustic)” turns our gaze to the beauty of the life found in God, one where millions of tiny miracles happen every day; where hope can be found in the heartache, too.
“For me this song is about my own deeper discovery of God, but I want the listener to hear it through their own perspective,” Zach concludes.
This Joy
“This Joy” is a brand-new album from Vineyard Worship, recorded live in Chicago. This eclectic mix of new worship songs was written by Vineyard leaders, for the Church. From the upbeat and energetic title track “This Joy,” to the tender beauty of "Padre Nuestro," (the Lord's Prayer) written intentionally in both Spanish and English, each song serves an intentional purpose for the sake of the Church. Featuring 9 worship leaders from around the US, this album blends a wide range of influences, from gospel to pop to modern hymns, and is a small taste of the beauty and diversity within the Vineyard movement. The title track, featuring Tina Colón Williams and Joshua Miller, is a song of victory, declaring that the voice of the accuser will not have the final say. We are waking up to love, hope, and peace, because we serve a God who is stronger than any circumstance.
Cello Vol. 1
Still Worship keeps expanding its instrumental collection with a new album called “Cello Vol. 1.” Featuring influential worship songs interpreted on the cello, such as “Great Are You Lord,” “Revelation Song,” and “Everlasting God,” the new album is led by longtime Nashville musician and producer Brent Milligan. Brent has worked with Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W Smith, Anchor Hymns, and many others throughout his career. Still Worship’s new album is a calming project offering listeners a soundscape for Bible studies, times of prayer, or simply to have in the background as you go about your day.
