NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: LOCAL SOUND, MISSION HOUSE & VINEYARD WORSHIP

It's the end of the week , take a breath… and let's worship.

After two years, Local Sound are back with a bang! New single 'More Than Halfway’ is based on the story of the prodigal son from Luke 15, exploring the thrill of a love from God that is underserved. With bright pop melodies and an undeniable groove, 'More Than Halfway' expresses what internally is often a complicated process of wandering far from God and trying to figure out how to get back home. The verses are about confronted by your own mistakes, leading into the catchy chorus that declares the simple truth that God will MORE than meet us halfway when we turn our pursuit back to Him. The new single takes an overall tone of joy and gratitude with horns and a mid-tempo feel as Local Sound affirm that the Father’s Love is always closer than we think.

Mission House introduce their first deluxe single of 2022, 'If I Was A Bird/Nothing Left To Do'. The first part of this release, 'If I Was A Bird', was written late last year on a quiet morning at the piano, trying to find peace in these tumultuous days. On the other hand, 'Nothing Left To Do' is an older song, written on the back deck of a lake house in 2017. Despite its upbeat vibe, this song was crafted as a response to heart-breaking news of one of the band’s friends in an affair. These two tunes click together in beautiful harmony and embody a beautiful musical prayer adorned with warm acoustic tones and a genuineness that testifies to Mission House’s skill to write songs that resonate deeply with people’s experience of life and faith.

What begins in worship ends in worship. This Vineyard saying rings particularly true of 'Your Dwelling Place', the second single from upcoming EP “Breathe In, Sing Out: Live from Anchour Studio”. Led by Anabeth Morgan, 'Your Dwelling Place' carries a palpable sense of the presence of God in both the writing and recording of this special song. Co-producer Casey Corum reflects on the recording session for the new single: "There was such a heavy sense of the presence of the Holy Spirit in the room while we were recording. I am still taken back to that holy moment…" Recorded live at Anchour Studio in Maine, producers Karl Anderson, Joshua Ray, and Casey Corum join forces again and carry on the legendary partnership between Vineyard Worship and Anchour Studio.
