NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: Anchor Hymns, Gather Worship, LIFE Worship & ICF Worship

Where Can I Go That My Maker Won’t Be?

Anchor Hymns releases “Where Can I Go That My Maker Won’t Be?,” their second single recorded live at Covenant Presbyterian in Nashville, TN. Led by Citizens, Jason Houtsma, and Melanie Penn, the song displays Anchor Hymns’ signature soulful sound and thoughtful lyrics.

A melody for when questions are overwhelming, this new song makes space for moments of doubts and for the incomprehensible while leading listeners back to rest in God’s sovereignty. “Where Can I Go” balances the infinite and the intimate, recognizing God’s hand in the vastness of the universe and in the detail of human lives simultaneously.

The song also echoes the hope of resurrection, reminding that suffering in this life isn’t final and is always experienced with Christ. “Where Can I Go” seeks to be a song that that matters in all spaces of life and that gives hope beyond death, trusting in God’s comforting omnipresence through it all.

The Image

Gather Worship – a collective of artists spearheaded by executive producers Matt Redman and Jason Ingram – releases their second single, “The Image.” Penned during a songwriting camp to craft the sound of Gather25, this song flowed out of a desire to write something purely about Jesus.

“One thing I love about this song is it touches on the years between the cradle and the cross,” explained Redman. “It’s so important to sing about those years because as He lived among us, Jesus put the heart of God fully on display.”

Keeping Gather Worship’s aim to represent God’s heart for the world through global worship, the new single is released in three languages.

The English version is in collaboration with Matt Redman and Nigerian worship leader, Kaestrings, while the Spanish one (“La Imagen”) is with Josh Morales and features Miel San Marcos, and Taiwanese worship ministry, Stream of Praise, are leading the Mandarin version (“愛的彰顯”). Group vocals were also contributed from a church in New Zealand, making this a truly global endeavor.

Expansive and catchy, “The Image” is meant for the Church around the globe to easily join in to worship the Lord. Gather Worship hopes it can be a key anthem on the Gather25 journey and beyond.

He’s My God

LIFE Worship presents their first song of the year, “He’s My God,” announcing a second volume to EP, “Stones Of Remembrance,” releasing in the spring. The UK-based worship band’s sound has continually grown in vibrancy, diversity, and Spirit-led energy, which this new song captures and shares with the world.

Written by worship pastor, Aaron Baxter, and singer-songwriter, Nathan Gardner, “He’s My God” is a bold expression of faith in a mighty and omnipotent God. The verses list Biblical examples of His transformative acts like forming Creation, calming oceans, and crucially, offering salvation.

“We believe the Church needs declarative songs that reference the many biblical examples of God’s power; the kind of songs which inspire courage within those building the Kingdom,” said LIFE worship leader and pastor, Philippa Hanna.

“He’s My God” has an anthemic feel and LIFE Worship hopes it can be useful for many churches as they seek strong and declarative songs for times of worship.

New Heights

Swiss worship band ICF Worship releases a new single titled “New Heights.” Touching on the Trinity, the song is a heartfelt journey to Jesus through the Holy Spirit and in revealing the loving heart of the Father.

Led by Dave Kull, Dominic Laim, and Tamara Fontijn, “New Heights” is an intimate and uplifting song for the Church to cling to. It is a declaration of faith, trust, and surrender reminding worshippers that knowing God is the source of everything else in life.
